I attribute my success to consistency, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to learning. Building strong relationships, maintaining integrity, and treating everyone with respect have always been central to how I work. Over more than 30 years in the insurance industry, my ability to adapt, mentor others, and balance analytical problem-solving with relationship management has been key to achieving long-term success.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to listen first and speak with purpose. I’ve been fortunate to learn from mentors who recognized my potential, challenged me to grow, and eventually trusted me to mentor others in turn. That guidance has shaped how I lead, collaborate, and build lasting professional relationships.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to be patient, curious, and confident in your abilities. Listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and stay committed to continuous learning. Building a strong network and finding mentors early on can make a tremendous difference in your growth and success.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I see rapid technological advancements, shifting market dynamics, and the need for new talent as both challenges and opportunities in our field. One of the most important opportunities right now is facilitating knowledge transfer between experienced professionals and the next generation, so our industry can continue to evolve, adapt, and thrive.
