Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the feedback I receive from others, which I actively use to refine my skills, improve my performance, and strengthen my overall results.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my husband, who told me that I can reach any height I set my mind to, but that “it’s really lonely at the top.” I’ve carried that insight with me, and it continues to guide how I balance ambition with family and personal priorities when making career decisions.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering my industry is to be mindful that there are often trade-offs between career advancement and family life. Learning from the experiences of others can provide valuable perspective and help you make more informed, intentional decisions about the path that best aligns with your goals and values.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in my field is changing entrenched shop-floor culture and overcoming resistance to continuous improvement initiatives, which often requires sustained effort to shift long-standing habits and mindsets. At the same time, there are strong opportunities to strengthen safety culture through incentive programs and increased engagement in near-miss reporting—our site recorded over 750 near misses last year—while also improving staffing efficiency and overall operations through focused process improvements.
