Her Interview
Ten minutes with Juliet
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the unwavering support of my family, whose encouragement has given me the confidence and resilience to overcome challenges while continuing to grow both personally and professionally. My education at local colleges provided a strong foundation for my career, equipping me with the knowledge and skills to pursue new opportunities with confidence. I also believe that prioritizing my mental well-being has been essential to my success. Seeking support through therapy has strengthened my resilience, broadened my perspective, and enabled me to perform at my best while maintaining a healthy balance in both my professional and personal life.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received came from my mentor, Vanessa, during a pivotal transition in my career. She simply said, "Don't give up." At the time, those words seemed simple, but I quickly realized they carried far more meaning than I initially understood. They reminded me that challenges are inevitable, but they don't have to define my path. Instead, they are opportunities to learn, adapt, and grow. That advice has reinforced the importance of investing in myself, trusting the process, and continuing to move forward even when the path feels uncertain.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to invest the time in discovering what truly drives and inspires them. Whether your career path leads you into STEM, the creative industries, or entrepreneurship, long-term success begins with understanding your strengths, embracing your unique perspective, and pursuing work that aligns with your purpose and values. Equally important is building a strong community of women who support, encourage, and challenge one another to grow. Seek out mentors, cultivate meaningful relationships, and never underestimate the value of sharing your knowledge and experiences. Some of the most impactful opportunities come through collaboration, not competition. When women invest in one another's success, we create stronger businesses, more innovative ideas, and a lasting legacy for the next generation of leaders.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me, both professionally and personally, are patience, honesty, and empathy. I believe patience is essential when working with people, embracing new technology, and adapting to change. Honesty allows me to build trust, communicate with integrity, and create strong, lasting relationships. Empathy enables me to understand different perspectives, respect boundaries, and approach every interaction with compassion and care. These values guide how I communicate, collaborate, lead, and support others, shaping both my work and the relationships I build every day.
