About Juliet Mamawa
Juliet Mamawa Kaikai is an African feminist lawyer with expertise in sexual and reproductive health law and gender justice. She currently serves as a Research Assistant at the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, contributing to research on health law and policy. She began her feminist activism around 2017 while in college and became a lawyer in 2020. Earlier in her career, she served as Legal Manager and Acting Executive Director at AdvocAid, supporting women and girls in the justice system. She is a member of the Sierra Leone Bar Association, Lawyers Society in Sierra Leone, Legal Access to Women Yearning for Equality Rights and Social Justice, Sierra Leone Feminist Forum, and Sierra Leone Health Law Association. She founded the Feminist Lecture Series and provides scholarships for law students. Her work reflects a commitment to advancing access to justice for marginalized communities.
