My whole life has shaped me as a professional. I came from a very toxic and chaotic household and grew up being dysfunctional myself, also having my own addictions. I was very high functioning and able to hide a lot of it, but finally got to a point where I had cancer and got super scared. Along the way, I found God, and from that moment, it really changed my life dramatically. For the first time, I opened up about my addiction, got the help I needed, and found a passion for behavioral health. I found my identity in God, and then I found my husband, who was such a blessing and a gift. I went back to school for behavioral health and trauma and started volunteering. The more volunteering I did, the more they gave me opportunities as far as teaching boundaries and safe people, and then they started letting me create my own curriculum. I got my certification as a life coach with CoActive, which was one of the most amazing experiences I went through. It really taught me how to communicate with people and help them learn how to grow. I've also been through rehabs, and I did an outpatient program, which was really beautiful. I think rehab has such a stigma about it, but for me, it was a really incredible experience. I'm a full-time volunteer now, and I'm not about self-promoting - I'm more about helping other people. My mind and heart are focused on how I can reach more people and help more people. I'm heavily involved in Hope Women's Center here in Arizona and the Phoenix Dream Center, and I'm at those organizations every single week.
