What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to maintaining an open mind and a willingness to learn, striving for excellence in everything I do, and focusing on making a meaningful difference in the work and lives of those around me.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to keep moving forward, stay positive and motivated, remain eager to learn, and always focus on making a meaningful difference.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the construction industry is to trust your voice and take up space, even when you’re the only woman in the room. This industry values confidence, accountability, and results; don’t wait to feel “ready” before speaking up or pursuing opportunities. Learn the business, ask questions, and don’t be afraid to start at the ground level to truly understand how everything works.
Build relationships with integrity, stay professional, and remember that your perspective is an asset, not a limitation. Most importantly, remain true to who you are; success doesn’t require you to change your values, only to strengthen them.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the construction industry right now is attracting and retaining top talent, especially in specialized roles. There’s a lot of competition, and companies need to not only offer competitive compensation but also build cultures that empower and support their teams.
At the same time, this is a huge opportunity to innovate in how we recruit, onboard, and develop talent, and to create workplaces where people feel valued and motivated. I see an exciting chance to shape the next generation of leaders and redefine what it means to work in construction, making it more inclusive, collaborative, and forward-thinking.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are serving others, reaching out to those in need, learning from different perspectives, and committing to continuous education.
