Her Story

About Jully

Jully Antunes is a brand growth and sales professional who serves as Manager, Brand Growth at Recom, an e-commerce accelerator specializing in Amazon and other online marketplaces. In this role, she manages a portfolio of more than eight client accounts, serving as the primary point of contact while coordinating sales, analytics, inventory supply, and logistics to support brand growth and operational success. She works closely with cross-functional teams to develop strategies, manage priorities, and help clients achieve their goals, particularly during peak seasonal periods when marketplace demands increase.

Before moving into brand growth, Jully built Recom’s sales development team after gaining leadership experience at LivePerson, where she managed sales development representatives and worked with AI-powered chatbots and customer service software. Earlier in her career, she held sales and business development positions with IQPC Exchange and worked in financial services. These experiences helped her develop a versatile understanding of sales, client relationships, team leadership, and business development. Jully attributes her success to adaptability across industries, continuous curiosity and learning, and maintaining strong professional relationships. She is also a member of RevGenius, an online community focused on revenue generation and B2B marketing.

Jully earned a B.B.A. in Marketing from Towson University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During her time at Towson, she served as captain of the university cheerleading team, worked as a Career Peer Advisor, and participated in the American Marketing Association and Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society. She was also the winner of Towson University's The Associate case competition. During her time at LivePerson, she completed AI Native and Corporate Presentation certifications. Outside of her professional career, Jully has volunteered with food banks in the Tampa Bay area, United Way in Maryland, and a housing painting initiative, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to community service.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jully

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being adaptable and curious. I have moved between financial services, events, AI software, and e-commerce, learning the unique language and challenges of each industry. Staying curious, asking questions, continuing to learn, and being willing to adapt have allowed me to navigate each transition successfully. Maintaining strong professional relationships with former colleagues, mentors, and connections has also created opportunities.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Do the job before you have the job. Research the company before an interview, understand the problems it may be facing, and arrive prepared with potential solutions. Women should be proactive about asking questions and learning rather than waiting until they feel completely prepared.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Take advantage of AI tools and emerging technology while maintaining the human element. AI can automate tasks and increase efficiency, but genuine relationships, trust, communication, and authenticity remain essential. Remain curious, ask questions, learn continuously, and build your personal brand.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Significant opportunities at the intersection of AI, e-commerce, and B2B marketing. AI transforms operations and automates tasks, creating efficiency. The growing use of AI makes the human element even more important for building trust and authentic relationships. Interested in B2B creator and influencer marketing and user-generated content.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Dependability, accountability, and loyalty. Relationships are key to professional success, and I strive to be someone colleagues, clients, and mentors can trust. Loyalty reflects the lasting professional relationships maintained through multiple career transitions.
