June Fan
I'm the Founding Attorney and CEO of Gift of Love Legal PLLC, which just celebrated its first birthday at the end of January 2024. Law is actually a second career for me - I was in education before this. I graduated from law school in 2016 and moved from California to the DC area with no connections, barely any money, no job lined up, and didn't even know if I had passed the bar exam. I fell in love with DC the first time I came here in high school on a field trip and told myself I'd be back. While waiting for bar results, I served tables at a hotel restaurant down the street from the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue. After passing the bar, I started doing contract work helping other attorneys with estate planning clients. Within a year, I landed at a boutique trust and estates law firm in Washington, D.C. as a full-time attorney and worked there for several years. I've always seen myself as an entrepreneur, so I decided to take a leap of faith and start my own trust and estates law firm. Gift of Love Legal serves women business owners in Maryland and DC with protecting the legacy they've built through estate planning, trusts, and succession planning for their businesses.
