Justina Brownlee, MBA, is an accomplished Human Resources professional. With over a decade of progressive experience in the manufacturing industry, she has developed a deep expertise in the full recruiting cycle, employee relations, investigations, FMLA, worker’s compensation, HR compliance, occupational safety, and team leadership. Justina’s approach to HR emphasizes both operational excellence and the human element, ensuring that employees feel supported, valued, and empowered to succeed. Justina’s career has been marked by a commitment to growth, mentorship, and giving back. She has guided colleagues who faced significant challenges, helping them develop into strong leaders and contributing to a culture of resilience and opportunity. Prior to joining Pilgrim's, she held several HR roles at Sanderson Farms, including Field Employee Relations Manager, where she honed her skills in personnel management and employee advocacy. Her professional development is supported by a Master of Business Administration in Public Administration from Southern New Hampshire University, and she is currently pursuing SHRM certification and is Mental Health First Aid certified. Outside of her professional life, Justina is passionate about family, community, and empowerment. She enjoys spending quality time with her children, dancing, and connecting with friends and family. She is also the founder of I Know Who I Am (IKWIA), a charitable organization dedicated to mentoring and supporting individuals from challenging backgrounds. Through her work, both in HR and in the community, Justina continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those around her.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith in God, who continually guides and aligns my steps. I am also deeply grateful for my parents, whose unwavering support has empowered me in everything I pursue.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never minimize who you are to fit into any room. Remember, there can be more than one right answer, and your perspective matters.
