Her career began in startup and office management roles during the dot-com era before she joined Isilon Systems, which was later acquired by EMC and ultimately became part of Dell. Throughout her career, she has supported senior executives and managed complex administrative and business operations.

In her current role, Justine specializes in executive support, project management, calendar and travel management, expense coordination, new-hire requisitions, and large-scale meeting and event planning. She has organized worldwide sales conferences, customer and partner summits, leadership meetings, trade shows, and team gatherings. Her ability to understand the broader business, anticipate needs, build relationships across departments, and proactively solve problems has made her a trusted resource for executives and colleagues.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to understanding the business so that I can work proactively, helping so people don't have to worry about things. I make sure that I'm involved in meetings so I understand what's going on in the business and network with other departments.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to think beyond the immediate task and understand the bigger picture. I believe in anticipating my executive’s needs, protecting confidentiality, continuously learning, and building strong relationships across the organization.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

If you go into a role like this, have a really good communication stream with the person, understand what their needs are, be really proactive, and have open communication with the people that you're supporting. Think like an exec, be a big picture thinker.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges include supporting larger groups with AI and new tools changing the role. Opportunities are learning to incorporate new technology into daily support of executives and teams, and expanding beyond traditional EA role.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty, being kind, helping people out. Both professional and personal, I'm always willing to help out friends and family.
