Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of strong work ethic and an approachable, collaborative personality. I’m persistent and resilient—I don’t quit when faced with challenges. I also approach situations with humility, recognizing that I don’t have all the answers. I’m comfortable asking questions to gain clarity and ensure I fully understand what’s required so I can deliver results effectively. I leverage my communication skills, resourcefulness, and ability to collaborate with others to navigate obstacles. While I may not know everything upfront, I remain determined, continually pushing forward until I achieve the desired outcome.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that bad news doesn’t get better with time. Early in my career, a manager told me, “If you make a mistake, tell me—you're human, and it’s okay. I’d rather know upfront so I can help address it, rather than be caught off guard.” That advice has shaped the way I approach challenges. I’ve been fortunate to have supportive leadership that encourages transparency, which allows me to bring issues forward and collaborate on solutions. Sometimes I can resolve problems independently, and other times I need guidance—but being open and proactive ensures we handle things the right way.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is simple: don’t be intimidated, and don’t give up. Be proactive and confident—if you hold back, you risk being overlooked. Leverage every resource available, whether it’s research, tools like Google or ChatGPT, or guidance from colleagues. Combine persistence with curiosity, and don’t be afraid to speak up or take initiative; that mindset will help you navigate challenges and create opportunities for yourself.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now relates to the political and regulatory landscape for small businesses. At Lynchpin, as an 8(a) certified small business, there is heightened scrutiny to ensure compliance and to demonstrate that these programs are delivering real value—not simply serving as a DEI initiative. The opportunity, however, lies in the unique advantage small businesses have: the ability to build closer, more personalized relationships with clients. This intimacy allows us to understand their needs deeply and deliver tailored solutions in ways that larger corporations often cannot.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The value I prioritize most, both in my work and personal life, is integrity—consistently doing the right thing. In a professional context, that means balancing the needs of the company with respect for the customer, even when the lines aren’t always clear. I’ve been fortunate to have a manager I can trust to discuss challenging situations openly, where we can share perspectives honestly and arrive at the best solution together. Integrity guides my decisions at work and at home, and it’s the principle I strive to uphold in every interaction.
