Kabao Moua

Kabao Moua is the Dean of Students for the Appleton Area School District in Appleton, Wisconsin. She has spent 14 years in the education field, including 9 years teaching after beginning as a lead teacher in daycare settings while pursuing her bachelor's degree. Moua taught English abroad in Korea before returning to serve as a 4K teacher. Encouraged by colleagues who sought her advice on classroom management, she obtained her admin license to support teachers and make a broader impact on students. This fall, she will transition to the Dean of Students role at the Wausau School District elementary school she attended as a child. Her long-term goals include becoming a principal and eventually opening an inclusive daycare for students with special needs.
