Her Story

About Kaci

As a life coach and author, my days vary greatly. I create content based on societal issues and relatable incidents to help people grow. I don't take on a lot of one-on-one clients. Instead, I like to create content that helps people through the information I share. I have over 600 videos on YouTube with about 250,000 views overall. My primary way of helping people is through the content that I create, although every now and again, I do take on individual clients. I published my first book in 2006, an autobiography about my life as an Army veteran and wartime veteran, detailing my childhood, joining the army, being in war, and life after that. Over the years, I've created 13 books total. The other 12 books include 5 faith-based books and others that are all inspirational, geared to help people learn their purpose, understand themselves better, and overcome adversity. My faith books and the theory of spiritual human behavior were developed through beta testing from 2012 to about 2019, where I gave out information and looked at the responses from the tools I was using to help people. The theory of spiritual human behavior helps people understand how their life is shaped. I'm not a biblical teacher and I don't consider myself a Christian, but I do believe we are all created with a purpose. The things we go through in life help us understand who we are and who we're supposed to be. My books help people reframe traumatic incidents as lessons instead of trauma, understand themselves, process trauma differently, and see patterns within their life and family so they can stop blaming themselves and understand what their experiences are trying to teach them.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to following my heart and trusting that there was a reason God allowed me to survive a traumatic experience when I was young. When my mother tried to kill me and I survived, I felt like there had to be a reason why God allowed me to survive and how I could use that to help other people. I'm very intuitive naturally, so I just followed my heart. After getting out of the Army and moving to Atlanta, which was a childhood dream, I started going to school and took a psychology class that changed my mindset on how I saw life. I understood then that the things I became were patterns of my environment. As I studied different things and understood myself better through living with PTSD from war, I realized that a lot of people have stuff going on and there is nobody helping them to understand themselves the way I've learned to understand myself. So I created an outlet and a way that I could help people. The books are really from a more lived experience versus just studying something and telling you about it. These are things that not just make sense, but you can relate to as well.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The best advice would be to trust themselves, but also to trust the process, and to not feel rushed. A lot of times, we feel like we should be here at a certain time, or at this certain goal, and sometimes in the waiting is the learning. So, you have to always feed yourself while you're waiting for things to unfold. And eventually, you will begin to live the unfolding of all of your dreams. But manifestation is the opportunity, meaning the preparation, and you following through. A lot of times, people have goals, but they have no follow-through. So if one thing happens, they stop. You have to keep going. No matter what, and always follow through on what you know you're supposed to do.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Some of the biggest challenges is dealing with scamming. There are a lot of scammers around, and there are a lot of people selling how-to-dos and what-to-dos, but it really doesn't help the person to get through whatever they're going through. It's just a quick fix. So, to not be discouraged by the people that are scamming, to make sure that you honor yourself, your pricing, and don't allow what you see around you to dictate on what you know you're supposed to do, because at the end of the day, integrity is more valuable than anything, so being integral is the biggest thing that you can do. As far as opportunities, there are a million opportunities. Specifically right now, we are in a time where people are losing their financial stability, they're not able to see their job as purpose anymore, so now that they have to seek within, there's a lot of people who just don't know what to do. And so there is a big opportunity for people who are really talented at helping people grow. If you are able to prepare yourself for what's to come, just by understanding the climate, understanding the patterns of how things normally play out, then it will help you to be successful. Again, there are gonna be scammers, there are gonna be people that are taking advantage of people, but your goal is to just have integrity.
