Kacie Pritt
I, Kacie Pritt, am the Regional Director of Business Development at HCF Management, Inc. and a 2025 BTG Podcast Ambassador, based in Ridgway, Pennsylvania. I am deeply committed to transforming outcomes in post-acute healthcare through strategic leadership, collaboration, and empathy. With extensive experience across skilled nursing facilities, home health, and assisted living, I specialize in aligning operations, clinical teams, sales, and intake processes to drive census growth, strengthen referral partnerships, and elevate the overall patient and resident experience. Throughout my career, I have consistently delivered measurable results by balancing data-driven strategies with a human-centered approach.
What distinguishes my leadership is my ability to build authentic, trust-based relationships with hospital executives, physicians, community partners, and internal teams. I believe true collaboration extends beyond coordination—it requires alignment of vision, shared goals, and the creation of an environment where every team member feels empowered and valued. I take pride in cultivating high-performing teams that are not only motivated to achieve operational goals but also inspired to innovate, embrace challenges, and deliver exceptional care. My approach combines strategic planning, mentorship, and active engagement to ensure every individual and department thrives.
Data and storytelling form the foundation of how I approach business development and operational excellence. I leverage insights from dashboards, referral source behavior, and admission metrics to make informed decisions that drive sustainable growth, always keeping people at the center of the process. As a speaker and mentor, I deliver engaging and interactive CEU presentations designed to inspire healthcare professionals to lead with empathy, embrace collaboration, and pursue continuous learning. I am passionate about guiding emerging leaders, sharing knowledge, and shaping a future in post-acute care where innovation, compassion, and excellence coexist seamlessly.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a strong foundation in hands-on care and a deep commitment to growth and leadership. I began my career as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), helping individuals regain their independence, which instilled in me a lasting passion for making a difference. Over time, I advanced into the role of Director of Rehab before transitioning into Business Development, where I discovered my strength in strategy and leadership. Today, I oversee seven skilled nursing facilities and a home health branch, leading teams focused on census growth, marketing, and payer relationships. One of my proudest achievements has been raising regional occupancy from 68% to 91%, a milestone achieved through trust, consistency, and vision. My Associate’s Degree in Science for Occupational Therapy provided the groundwork for my career, but the most valuable lessons have come from mentorship and real-world experience. I am an active member of the Pennsylvania Healthcare Association (PHCA), the American Health Care Association (AHCA), and NBCOT, which keep me informed and connected within the industry. Growing up in rural Pennsylvania taught me humility, practicality, and perseverance, values that continue to shape my leadership and approach to success.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to never stop being curious. The moment you think you know it all, you stop growing. Curiosity—more than ambition or talent—has been the driving force behind my success. Whether I was learning new clinical skills as a COTA or stepping into leadership for the first time, I approached every stage of my career with openness and humility. Every position taught me something new, even the ones that intimidated me—and especially those. Staying curious, asking questions, and taking risks have been the foundation of my professional growth. It’s advice I now share with my own team: be brave enough to keep learning, even when it feels uncomfortable.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The advice I would give to young women entering this industry is simple: be curious, take risks, and don’t limit yourself. That mindset has shaped every step of my journey. I recently had the opportunity to present with THCA, an experience that pushed me outside my comfort zone and helped me overcome my fear of public speaking. That moment reminded me how growth often comes from the challenges we’re most hesitant to face. Now, I use that same courage to inspire my team to take bold steps, embrace new opportunities, and believe in their own potential.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field right now is the transition from clinical care to leadership. Moving from helping people one-on-one to leading teams and making tough business decisions that affect entire facilities is a completely different kind of pressure. That shift requires confidence, adaptability, and, most importantly, trust—in your team, your instincts, and your ability to grow through change. Early in my leadership journey, I struggled with imposter syndrome and often questioned whether I was ready to lead those who once worked alongside me. Over time, I learned to quiet that voice of doubt and embrace the discomfort that comes with growth. The truth is, no one ever feels completely ready—you just have to step into it anyway.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Generosity is at the heart of everything I do. I consider myself a giver someone who wants to share what I’ve learned, lift others up, and be a resource whenever I can. I’m especially passionate about helping new professionals find their footing and reminding them that growth often begins with saying “yes” to opportunities that feel a little intimidating. Outside of work, my life revolves around family and fun. I love golfing and spending time with my four-year-old son. Balancing motherhood and leadership isn’t always easy, but I strive to blend both roles with grace, gratitude, and a sense of joy.
