About Kaila

Kaila Vetsch is the Director of Business Development at Jet Limousines & Transportation, where she drives strategic partnerships, business growth, and client engagement across Arizona's hospitality and luxury transportation industries. With a career spanning event planning, destination management, catering sales, marketing, and business development, she has built a reputation for creating meaningful relationships and delivering exceptional customer experiences. A graduate of South Dakota State University with a bachelor's degree in Marketing with a Public Relations Emphasis, Kaila's career began in festival and event planning before expanding into wedding planning, hospitality sales, and executive leadership.

Throughout her professional journey, Kaila has embraced opportunities that challenged her to grow, following the philosophy of acting in the role she aspired to rather than waiting for the title. Her experience includes leading corporate events, developing sales strategies, managing proposals, cultivating partnerships with hotels and venues, and launching her own event-focused business. She believes that genuine human connection remains the foundation of successful business relationships, even in an increasingly digital world. Guided by integrity, gratitude, and a positive mindset, Kaila credits her success to perseverance, resilience, faith, therapy, and the support of her family and community.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kaila is passionate about building stronger communities through networking, mentorship, and charitable initiatives. She has organized community food drives, participates in local women's organizations, and hopes to become a leader who brings professionals together through meaningful events that create lasting impact. Outside of work, she enjoys participating in her book club, camping, hiking, long walks, Pilates, and spending quality time with close friends. Through both her career and community involvement, Kaila continues to inspire others by leading with compassion, fostering authentic connections, and creating opportunities for people to grow together.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Kaila

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to perseverance and focusing on resilience while taking it one day at a time. Therapy and God help keep me grounded. I have a great support system of family and friends. Focusing on the future and the positive while using resources around me to improve myself has been key. For a long time I focused on making others happy but realized I need to pour into myself first so I can be the best version of myself and fill others' cups from a full one.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice is to fake it till you make it by acting and dressing for the position you want, not the one you have. Do not let your current position limit your abilities or where you see yourself going long-term. Say yes to opportunities that move you forward even if not a straight line.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The best advice she would offer to other women is to put themselves out there, foster genuine personal connections, and embrace new opportunities with an open mind. She emphasizes the importance of maintaining unwavering self-belief, regardless of the opinions or judgments of others.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges are current transportation costs and making personal human connections through networking and follow-up rather than hiding behind emails or LinkedIn. Building trust and treating people with humanity is key, especially post-COVID when everything is digital. Using AI for tasks but prioritizing in-person meetings for connection.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is huge - following through on what you say to build credibility with employer, team, and clients. Keeping a positive mindset and taking it day by day is essential. Gratitude and being thankful for where you are in the moment while keeping the bigger picture in mind leads to happiness and peace.
