What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being proactive, continuously seeking knowledge, and holding myself to a high standard of excellence. As an early adopter in a male-dominated industry, I am driven to deliver strong results efficiently while ensuring both patients and the teams I support are well cared for. Leadership and passion have always guided me, and as a single mother, I am further motivated to lead by example for my son, reinforcing my commitment to growth, integrity, and purpose.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to take the emotion out of decision-making and focus on clarity and outcomes. While my passion is one of my strengths, I’ve learned the importance of reading the room and tailoring my communication to the audience—whether that means providing detailed context or delivering concise, direct answers. Adapting my approach based on individual needs not only strengthens client relationships but also builds confidence in my decisions and reduces unnecessary second-guessing.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to stay open, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning, as these qualities have helped me grow through both challenges and successes. Be receptive to feedback, stay humble, and focus on how your work contributes to the broader goals of your team and organization rather than just individual outcomes. By consistently thinking in terms of what will move the organization forward and prioritizing the needs of others, you build stronger impact, stronger leadership, and long-term success.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges in my field often come down to organizational structure and unnecessary complexity in processes, which can create barriers to efficiency and limit the ability of subject matter experts to implement effective solutions. In some environments, there can also be challenges related to visibility and credibility, where expertise is sometimes overlooked or redirected based on hierarchy or gender rather than capability. At the same time, these challenges present opportunities to advocate for streamlined processes, stronger collaboration, and greater recognition of diverse leadership. My experiences have reinforced my commitment to demonstrating competence, supporting other women in the field, and helping create environments where expertise is valued over assumptions.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are people first, service-focused leadership, teamwork, accountability, and continuous growth. In my organization, I was honored to be selected as one of 30 “values champions” following a rebrand centered on these core principles, which I also strive to embody daily outside of work. As a single mother, I’ve seen how these values naturally extend into my personal life—for example, watching my son demonstrate accountability and empathy during a recent soccer tournament reinforced the importance of leading by example. Whether at work or at home, I consistently aim to live these values in a way that fosters integrity, compassion, and growth.
