About Kaitlyn

I've been writing since the fourth grade, starting with short stories inspired by creativity and everything around me. As a romance writer, I've always found relationships fascinating and been curious about how people fall in love. I wanted to create stories with less conflict and more poetic ideas and descriptions that could convey a really strong idea of love. When romance novels started appearing in bigger stores and grocery stores, it inspired me to write more openly about characters falling in love. I began publishing on Wattpad where my stories gained popularity. I've written about 16 novels currently in production, ranging from 40,000 to 60,000 words each, while my finished novels are about 80,000 to 100,000 words. In 2018, I finished publishing my first novel, In the Darkness of the Night, by Kat Tavato, on KDP (Amazon's publishing platform). I worked with a content editor, formatted it myself, and got it copyrighted through the Library of Congress. My sister, who is no longer with us, created the cover, making this book incredibly personal and meaningful to me. A turning point in my career came when I read The War of Art by Steven Pressfield, which I thanked in my book's acknowledgments. That's when I stopped dabbling in writing and actually started finishing full-length novels, eventually reaching the point where I could self-publish complete books online.
