Her Story
About Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn Wenrich’s journey into leadership began long before she ever stepped into a professional role. Raised in a family farming business, she learned the meaning of responsibility, grit, and discipline at an early age—working alongside her family and developing a work ethic that would later define her career. What she didn’t realize then was that those early experiences were already shaping her mindset for Lean thinking and Continuous Improvement.
In 2020, Kaitlyn’s life changed forever when her father, Jamie Wenrich, was tragically killed in a work accident after dedicating 30 years to the Country Club of Harrisburg. In the months that followed, Kaitlyn came to understand the profound impact her father had made—not just through his work, but through the countless young men he mentored and led throughout his career. Inspired by his legacy of leadership and service, she made a commitment to carry that impact forward in her own way.
While Kaitlyn’s professional career began prior, it was at D.L. Martin where she truly found her trajectory. Starting as a Sales Manager, she quickly expanded her influence across the organization, taking on roles in production planning, senior buying and planning, and project management. It was during this time that she was introduced to Lean through a MANTEC program, where everything clicked. By the fourth class, Kaitlyn had found her purpose—she would dedicate her career to Continuous Improvement and to serving others through meaningful, lasting change. She went on to earn her Lean Practitioner certification and later achieved her Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Following that clarity, Kaitlyn stepped into her first dedicated Continuous Improvement role as the sole Continuous Improvement Specialist at a heavy-duty manufacturing facility. Although she initially expected a steep learning curve, she quickly proved herself as a capable and impactful leader, driving transformation and building a culture rooted in accountability and growth. Her leadership potential was further recognized when she was selected for the Dame Leadership Evolution Project in 2025.
Today, Kaitlyn serves as a Multi-Site Continuous Improvement Manager for Graham Packaging, where she leads with authenticity and a deep commitment to servant leadership. She is passionate about empowering teams, balancing the system, and creating environments where people and processes thrive together.
Kaitlyn credits her success to the unwavering foundation instilled in her by her late father, as well as her mother and stepfather, whose example of hard work and resilience continues to guide her. She honors that legacy each day through the way she leads and serves others. Reflecting on her journey, Kaitlyn shares the advice she would give her younger self: “Calm down, be patient—you don’t know what you’re doing anyway.” To other women, she offers this encouragement: “Get familiar with your non-negotiables, lead to serve, and never stop challenging the status quo.”
