About Kaitlyn
I started in marketing while working for Alabama Media during school at the University of Alabama, handling media, broadcasting, photography, and videography for the athletics program. This led me into media which evolved into operational roles involving logistics that I really enjoyed. Before that I worked in retail and hospitality doing customer service. Now I am Director of Strategic Partnerships at a family-owned executive search and recruitment firm in Austin focusing on C-suite, director and VP roles. My role mixes operations, marketing and business development with a team of 3 SDRs. I handle website, mail, ads and track revenue. I have been in this new role for just over a month. I have a bachelor's in business from the University of Alabama along with an international business certificate and a minor in digital media, graduating in 2022. I am a member of the ACG Austin and San Antonio chapter and Austin Women in Technology.

01What do you attribute your success to?
A lot of organization has gotten me pretty far, and also just personal desire to do better and succeed.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't be afraid to stray from the path, like don't be afraid to try a new career or take on a new task. I think that's where I have succeeded, being able to take a task in another area even though I am in operations. You may enjoy it and find that by saying yes to other things you are better in one area than the other.
