Her Story
About Kakisha
Kakisha Santiago serves as a construction project manager and minister. She began her career in construction in 1990, starting as a secretary and advancing to project coordinator before becoming a project manager, a role traditionally held by men at the time. Working in a male-dominated industry, she conducts field inspections and mentors other women to pursue similar opportunities. In addition to her construction work, Santiago is a minister who provides healing ministry, marriage counseling, and support for women who have experienced trauma. She leads retreats, online classes, and a 12-week course on healing soul wounds. Santiago earned her bachelor's degree in business administration with applied management from Grand Canyon University and is pursuing a master's in public administration. She is affiliated with Weekend with the King at His Place of Refuge in Tampa and His Village, an organization that assists homeless families, women, and children through feeding programs, clothing, and prom closets.
