Dynamic nonprofit and community advocacy leader with more than a decade of experience advancing social justice, poverty reduction, public health, and community empowerment initiatives. Currently serving as Executive Director of Walker's Point Youth & Family Center, she provides strategic leadership for programs supporting youth and families through crisis intervention, housing support, and community-based services. Her leadership is driven by a deep commitment to equity, systems change, and improving outcomes for underserved populations.
Alongside her executive leadership, she has served for nearly 11 years with RESULTS and RESULTS Educational Fund, where she has been a nationally recognized advocate addressing domestic poverty and economic inequities. As an Expert on Poverty Consultant and former Manager of the Experts on Poverty Speakers Bureau, she has led advocacy campaigns, developed policy strategies, trained grassroots leaders, and empowered communities to engage effectively with policymakers at local, state, and federal levels. Her work includes legislative advocacy, public speaking, coalition building, media engagement, and facilitating workshops on anti-oppression, storytelling, and civic engagement.
Her professional background also includes leadership roles in public health, domestic violence services, and community intervention. At Outreach Community Health Centers, she managed mobile and school-based health clinic programs designed to expand healthcare access to vulnerable populations. As Director of Shelter and Hotline Services at Sojourner, she oversaw critical support services for survivors of domestic violence. During her tenure with Milwaukee County as Lead Community Intervention Specialist, she focused on violence prevention, crisis response, and community engagement initiatives.
Known for her compassionate leadership, strategic communication skills, and ability to mobilize communities around meaningful change, she continues to champion policies and programs that promote dignity, opportunity, and equitable access to essential resources for individuals and families nationwide.
