Her Interview
Ten minutes with Kali
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith. I'm heavy into my faith, & pray a lot. I think having faith first and foremost really keeps me up and going, being able to find the energy when we are inundated or have those long days. But, also my team, just my support system, having great team members & leaders that truly feel like family, and that helps me excel every day.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Trust the process, surround yourself with people who support you, find a great mentor or leader, and just learn something new every day. Give yourself grace, and when you feel like you don't have confidence, find that person who is your support team and connect with them and lean on them, because we need those people every day.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The ever-changing landscape of laws, regulations, different state mandates. It is so fast-paced, and it's changing by the day. It could be a different pharmacy legislation that impacts a certain state, or just a new paid family medical leave that was passed in Minnesota or Oregon, etc.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is something I value the most. Just doing the right thing at the right time, especially as I'm working with my clients. I value integrity, and lead with that. I think that's first and foremost, and it builds trust. I value trust, integrity, true connections and relationships as well.
