What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of strong communication skills, a relentless work ethic, and the personal resilience I’ve developed throughout my journey. As the first in my family to graduate high school, college, and earn a doctorate, I’ve always felt a deep drive to be “something important.” That motivation led me to law, where I’ve spent over a decade honing the art of negotiation and learning how to support clients through some of the most difficult times in their lives. Launching our own firm has been my proudest milestone, and it’s fueled by a commitment to helping people heal by removing financial burdens and holding others accountable.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the legal field is to start building your soft skills early—communication, empathy, and resilience are just as important as legal knowledge. It's also essential to manage your expectations; success in this field takes time, patience, and persistence. But if you're willing to invest the effort, the payoff is worth it—you’ll have the opportunity to shape a practice that not only fits your life, but truly serves justice and makes a meaningful impact.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are discipline, curiosity, and balance. I’m passionate about staying sharp in my field—whether that’s reading the latest case law or diving into the Florida Bar Journal. At the same time, being present for my two daughters and prioritizing my health through fitness keeps me grounded. I believe that showing up fully—both professionally and personally—starts with taking care of yourself and staying committed to growth.
