Kalima Gilkes

She is an experienced education leader, curriculum designer, and instructional coach with a strong background in youth development, teacher training, data-driven instruction, and culturally responsive learning. She currently works as Director of Education at Hit the Books, where she leads academic staff, designs curriculum, manages assessments, and supports student growth. She also works as an Educational Consultant at Urbanrevamp LLC, creating learning programs and coaching youth-centered organizations. Her previous experience includes instructional coaching at Classical Charter Schools and 13 years at Success Academy Charter Schools, where she held teaching, curriculum leadership, and assistant principal roles.
