Kammeshia Davis
My career journey spans 25 years, starting with customer support, government contract services, and tax support, and now for the past 2 years I've been working as a life insurance agent with Insurance Supermarket. Each experience has strengthened my passion and level of service to people while building businesses that have real value. In my current role, I help families with family expense and income protection. I tell people it's comparable to an Instacart shopper - we personally shop for coverage for people to find the best coverage and rates so they don't have to lift a finger. They just tell us what they need, what their medical looks like, and then we do all the heavy lifting and deliver it right to their door. Beyond my insurance work, I'm actively learning AI automation and pursuing certification as a data analyst. I've built automations for businesses, like one for a restaurant to help them get their bookings in order and make sure reservations are getting put in seamlessly so they're not missing any reservations. I founded the Wolves of Wall Street to address a critical problem in the insurance industry - about 80% of people who obtain their license drop out in the first 2 years because they don't have enough education or guidance. I developed this program to help people once they get licensed by using neuroscience to understand how they learn and putting them in training programs that match their learning style, because everybody doesn't learn the same way. Insurance is very important because it not only protects your family, but it allows you to build legacies as well.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to resilience, faith, and my willingness to heal while building. I didn’t grow up with the guidance or emotional support many people take for granted. I’m a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, and I also experienced the impact of addiction within my family. Those experiences could have broken me, but instead they gave me a deeper sense of purpose.
Success for me isn’t just financial — it’s becoming mentally, emotionally, and spiritually stronger so I can create a better life and legacy for my daughter and for others. I’ve learned that true success comes from self-awareness, growth, discipline, and choosing to keep going even when life has been difficult.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is: “Don’t just chase money — build value.”
That advice changed my perspective completely. When you focus on solving problems, educating people, and creating impact, success naturally follows. In my work, whether it’s insurance, business strategy, or automation solutions, I focus on helping people protect what matters most and build long-term stability.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never underestimate the power of your story. Your background does not disqualify you from success — it can actually become the foundation of your purpose.
I would encourage young women to invest in healing, confidence, and education just as much as they invest in their careers. Learn how to advocate for yourself, trust your instincts, and don’t be afraid to take up space in rooms where you belong.
Most importantly, don’t allow setbacks, trauma, or rejection to define your future. You can still become everything you were meant to be.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges is education and awareness. Many families still don’t fully understand how insurance can protect generations, create financial stability, and prevent financial hardship after unexpected loss.
At the same time, that challenge creates a huge opportunity. People are becoming more financially conscious and are looking for ways to build wealth, protect their families, and create legacy plans. I believe professionals who lead with education, transparency, and genuine care will make the greatest impact moving forward.
I’m also very interested in automation and systems that help businesses operate more efficiently and serve people better. Technology and human connection together are where I see tremendous growth opportunities.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Faith, integrity, compassion, growth, and legacy are the values that guide me most.
As a mother, entrepreneur, and leader, I want to create spaces where people feel seen, supported, educated, and empowered. My daughter has helped me recognize areas where I needed emotional growth, and that awareness has pushed me to become more intentional in both my personal life and professional life.
I care deeply about helping people — not just in business, but in life. I want my work to leave a meaningful impact long after I’m gone. To me, legacy is not only what you build financially, but how you make people feel, what you teach them, and how you help change their lives for the better.
