About Kandies
Kandies Bailey owns KB Suites, a business she started in 2018 that specializes in providing cupcakes, coffee, and tea. She offers over 16 cupcake flavors, including unique options like double chocolate bacon, maple bacon, chicken and waffle, and Fruity Pebble. Recently, she became an insurance broker and is also a Legal Shield Associate. Her background includes being a licensed cosmetologist and a licensed certified pharmacy technician, along with business courses and certifications, as well as some college without a degree. She is a member of Toastmasters, with a goal to inspire others through speaking, and participates in the Chosen Legacy Project, a nonprofit that provides financial literacy to families, including education on life and health insurance, legacy planning, wills and trusts, and wealth building. Bailey attributes her success to being courageous even in the face of doubt and advises others to do it afraid, do it broke, just do it with no excuses.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Being courageous even when there was doubt. I still did it and continue to do so. Recently I had a moment of discouragement but took inventory of all the positive accomplishments and experiences this year instead of focusing on the negative.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Do it afraid. Do it broke. Just do it. No excuses. Just do it regardless of whatever you may have.
