Kara Johnston

He is a seasoned construction professional with over 20 years of experience in project management, engineering, and executive leadership. He currently serves as President of KR Johnston Construction, Inc., overseeing all operations in the San Francisco Bay Area and holding California Contractor License #1123938.

Previously, he spent nearly 14 years as a Project Manager at Richlen Construction, managing complex projects from planning through completion. His earlier experience includes serving as a Project Engineer at W.L. Butler and gaining hands-on field and office experience as a Summer Intern, Office Manager, and Carpenter at James Cooley Construction, as well as a Project Engineer Intern at WCI-GC, Inc. He combines technical expertise, leadership skills, and practical construction experience to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget.
