Her Story

About Kara

Brings over 30 years of experience as a healthcare professional, including more than two decades as a master’s-trained occupational therapist and 32+ years of dedicated service to Advocate Health. Her clinical career spans inpatient, outpatient, and sports health settings, with specialized expertise in shoulder rehabilitation and a longstanding commitment to whole-person care. In more recent leadership roles at Aurora Health Care and Advocate Health, Kara supported the Integrative Medicine division, where she skillfully bridged clinical care with educational programming and well-being initiatives. Today, she advances enterprise well-being initiatives through partnerships, with oversight of well-being programs and initiatives and contribution to the vision of our enterprise well-being infrastructure. She serves as a connector and collaborator across teams to align well-being programs, education, benefits, and leader and onboarding practices—including teammate engagement and recognition efforts. She also provides direct operational support to the enterprise peer support program and champions evidence-based practices that foster belonging, connection, and flourishing for both teammates and communities.
