About Kara
I've been in aviation for 12 years, and I absolutely love it. My journey started back in 2012 as an intern in the marketing and events group with Bombardier Learjet. From there, I moved into the aftermarket space and spent several years at Bombardier before transitioning to Textron Aviation, where I sold engine maintenance programs. For the past two and a half years, I've been with Honeywell Aerospace, selling maintenance service plans for our engines and APU on the business aviation side, though I've been selling similar products for 10 years total. My day-to-day work has quite a few changes, but for the most part, I'm either guiding customers through support within Honeywell, helping them with technical publications, parts orders, or service on their engines, or I'm building relationships with owners, operators, aircraft brokers who are buying and selling airplanes, and banks who are financing business jet purchases, helping them understand how to protect their assets with our maintenance service plans. In 2025, I was selected as a National Business Aviation Association Top 40 Under 40, and in 2024, I was named a President's Club honoree through Honeywell Aerospace, where they select only 25 to 30 employees throughout the entire organization for this recognition.
