Kareemah Lumpkin

Kareemah Lumpkin owns and operates Madame Black, a luxury ground transportation company located in Cleveland, Ohio, which she started two years ago in 2024. After years in retail management at Family Dollar and Target, she transitioned to driving for Lyft where she identified safety concerns for women and other vulnerable groups in the rideshare industry. This inspired her to create a female-led company with all female drivers that prioritizes comfort and safety for women, elderly people, disabled individuals, and the LGBTQ+ community. Kareemah holds a background in the science of human services and is certified in DEI and de-escalation. She maintains a fleet of three cars, serves high-profile clients including celebrities and Hall of Fame VIPs, and continues to drive for Lyft as a form of ongoing research while growing her private business beyond $20,000 annually. Her goal is to expand to ten drivers within the next three years while fostering an environment where employees feel valued and can develop their strengths.
