Karen Cauraugh

I started my career as a security specialist before taking a position as an Executive Administrator with Technical Collections for the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security. As Executive Assistant to the director and Deputy Director, I handled all aspects of office operations for about 20 employees, including daily calendars, conference room bookings, video conferencing, travel arrangements, tracking reports, and automated time and attendance for both contractors and government personnel. One of the most exciting positions I held was as a transcriber for Donald Rumsfeld during the beginning of the Iraqi War. I would come in every day and find tapes on my desk where I would transcribe his meetings, interviews, and anything he said while in aircraft with other officials like the Secretary of State. I also worked for the Iraqi Reconstruction Program after Saddam Hussein was captured, supporting the director as they brought in experts in transportation, electricity, and infrastructure to rebuild Iraq. Throughout my career, I've worked with the Navy, Army, OUSD, and different ranking members of the military. I've been able to obtain and keep my TSSCI Clearance, which has allowed me to work with senior-level officials. My work speaks for itself, and I have very good organizational skills and the ability to adjust to different offices and execute all requests given to me. I've been working since I was young and have seen and done a lot over the years.
