About Karen
Karen Hamilton serves as mayor of the Village of Congress in Ohio. She earned a bachelor's degree in business from Akron University, an associate's degree in computer technology, and a certificate in information, graduating cum laude. Earlier in her career, Hamilton ran the office operations for a heating and cooling company alongside her husband for 15 years, handling tasks such as pulling permits and payroll. The business was impacted by the 2008 economic downturn in the building industry. Motivated to set an example for her children after being a stay-at-home mom, she pursued higher education later in life. Hamilton also illustrated the children's book The Chocolate Chip Ghost written by Charlotte Wolnick. She is passionate about travel and family.
