Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being fully present in every moment and approaching each experience with grace and gratitude. Throughout my career, including managing a premium outlet in New York for 10 years and consulting for a visitor bureau, I’ve learned that genuine engagement and professionalism build lasting relationships and drive meaningful results.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to work together with other women and support one another. Through women’s retreats I’ve attended—featuring inspiring speakers, yoga on the beach, and even cooking classes—I’ve learned the power of community and shared growth. I’ve also been fortunate to have incredible mentors who shaped my career. Jean Guinup, VP of Marketing NE, for Premium Outlets, who was my direct report, during my ten-year with Premium Outlets, taught me invaluable lessons about business and leadership. Greg Marshall, Ex-Vice President of Visit Rochester, has been a strong mentor who guided and encouraged me to grow both professionally and personally.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Do what you say, be present, and believe in your abilities to succeed. Don't be afraid to take chances and try new things, knowing full well you will fail from time to time. Learn from those moments and move on. Face each day with enthusiasm and grace. Be Kind and always show compassion and interest in those around you.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me—both in my work and personal life—are graciousness, understanding, and compassion. I believe in uplifting the people in my life, personally and professionally. Celebrating the contributions of my partners in the industry. I’m especially proud of helping others be recognized for the good they do and guiding the next generation as they navigate their own paths. Outside of work, I find joy in entertaining, spending time with my husband, family and Friends. Time at the beach and being on the water—places where I can recharge and reflect on what truly matters: connection, kindness, and gratitude.
