Her Interview

Ten minutes with Karen Selenne

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to eight years of experience in supply chain and inventory, where I’ve built a proven talent for streamlining complex systems and a passion for making processes easier to navigate. Earning the WGU Capstone Excellence Award stands as one of my proudest achievements.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

It is never too late to learn new skills or return to school.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice for young women entering the supply chain field is simple but powerful: learn Excel. There’s so much you can do on it that people don’t realize. And above all, always stay curious.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

At the core of my values is creativity, collaboration, and connection. That same innovative spirit fuels the creative haven I share with my wife through Vintage Arsenic Design, where our knitted, crocheted, and painted crafts spark joy and often elicit my favorite reaction: “Wow, how did you make that?”
