Karen Zamarripa

I am proud of four decades of work focused on equity and opportunity for all through education, leadership development and workforce training. An award winning strategist, policy expert and advocate, I have spent the last four decades creating, leading and managing policy and political efforts including but not limited to: creation of California's Associate Degree for Transfer program; budget and operational reforms, first-ever applied research investments and doctorates at the California State University (CSU); successful advocacy campaigns most notably the Stand With CSU campaign which resulted $100 million in state resources for the system; advocacy training and engagement of alumni, students and others on budget and legislative issues; and numerous statewide ballot issues for K-12 and higher education facilities and infrastructure.
