About Karina
Karina Isoton is a philanthropy professional with roots in nonprofit and social help work dating back to her childhood in Brazil. After working in corporate communications for a French company in Brazil, she took on responsibility for sustainable and social programs in Latin America around 2003 or 2004, marking the start of her 23-year career in the field. Now based in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, she supports Brazilian nonprofits by launching the Nepolcast podcast to aid small and medium-sized organizations in fundraising, delivering lectures and conferences on the distinct US philanthropy landscape, and addressing the emotional pressures unique to the third sector to boost productivity and impact. Her approach prioritizes sharing accessible knowledge online and through speaking engagements, leveraging her cross-cultural perspective gained from her move to the US to help bridge educational gaps in Brazil's nonprofit sector.
