Karla Chavez is a dedicated banking professional and current Assistant Branch Manager at USC Credit Union, where she oversees branch operations, member services, and consumer lending activities. With over six years of experience in the financial sector, Karla has developed a strong expertise in building member relationships, resolving account issues, and providing personalized financial guidance. Before her current role, Karla advanced through multiple positions within USC Credit Union, including Member Relationship Specialist II and Member Relationship Specialist I, leveraging her skills in digital banking, loan production, and member communications. Prior to joining the credit union, she built a solid foundation in leadership and customer service through supervisory roles in retail and pharmacy settings, including Rite Aid and CVS Health. Her career demonstrates a consistent commitment to helping others and optimizing operational processes to enhance service quality.
Karla earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from California State University, Northridge, where she was a Dean’s Honor List recipient and an active member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, expected in 2027, further strengthening her expertise in business operations, financial analysis, and leadership. I encourage young women entering this industry to support and mentor one another as they pursue their professional goals. Building strong relationships and maintaining a service-oriented mindset are key to long-term success and growth.
