Her Interview

Ten minutes with Karla Marie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a passion for learning and problem solving. I love doing puzzles and anything brain-piece-related, and I apply that same logic to consulting by identifying issues, finding their causes, and solving them. This approach makes the work engaging and has led to my success in the field.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't let it intimidate you. Rely on the people around you, know that you belong here and were chosen for a reason. Don't be afraid to ask questions, believe in yourself, and advocate for yourself. If you want something, go for it.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is AI - using it as a thought partner without over-reliance since it can hallucinate and provide incorrect information. We need to balance using AI to help clients while ensuring tools are valuable. Opportunities include innovation from new technological developments, allowing creative solutions and implementations.
