Her Interview
Ten minutes with Karma
01What do you attribute your success to?
Honestly, just a lot of hard work. I grew up as kind of like an underdog. You know, my mom was a single mom, I had a lot of siblings, and I just decided that I didn't want to spend my life struggling. So, I basically made myself successful.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is just never stop learning, never stop asking questions. Knowledge is power, and the more you know, the more you can do.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It is a male-dominated field. So I would just say, like, stay strong, and don't be intimidated. At the end of the day, we're all there working towards a common goal, and just because a man's in charge doesn't mean that you can't one day sit in that seat.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being honest, having integrity, admitting when you're wrong, but also speaking up when you can add value to a conversation.
