What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my mother, who, at just 19, raised me with incredible strength and unwavering support. From the very beginning, she prioritized my well-being—flying me back and forth to Boston for medical care during my first two years—and instilled in me the motto: do it right or don’t do it at all. Her example of perseverance and dedication inspired me to follow my passions, strive to be my best self, and now pass those values on to my own daughter. I’ve carried her lessons with me throughout my career, remembering that Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither was mine.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women entering this industry to be proactive, intentional, and relentless in pursuing their goals. Seek out mentors and learn from the women who have paved the way, but don’t wait for opportunities to come to you—create them. Focus on your abilities, put in the work, and prepare for every chance to grow. Most importantly, pursue what makes you happy and let that drive fuel your career. Shatter the glass ceiling by going after what you want with confidence and determination—you are capable of more than you realize.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in my work and personal life are service, compassion, and giving back to my community. I’m especially passionate about supporting organizations like Meals on Wheels and Hope & Justice Program, which help seniors and women and children in abusive situations. Advocating for these causes and raising awareness allows me to make a meaningful impact beyond my career, and I encourage others to get involved or contribute however they can.
