Her Story

About Kasey

I started my career with a degree in psychology and human development, but after graduation, I realized that wasn't quite the path I wanted to take. Through networking within my hospitality connections, I landed a receptionist position at a marketing agency and immediately fell in love with the work. The agency recognized my potential and moved me up to project management, then to account manager, and eventually to my current role as senior account manager. In this position, I serve as the client advocate within the agency. My key responsibilities include ensuring clients are happy and that everything they came to us for is being delivered, whether that's a rebrand or updating their marketing strategy as a whole. My number one goal is to keep clients satisfied while making sure everything is on time, on schedule, and on budget. One of my biggest challenges is helping clients understand when they need a different strategy than what they originally came to us for. I'm very good at seeing both sides of a conversation, which gives me strong communication skills between the agency and the client. I can explain why we understand what they came for, but also help them see our perspective and find the middle ground. The value I bring is empathy and compassion for both sides, helping my team understand the client's needs while also advocating for the best strategy for their long-term success.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would always say, you know, just be open to where it takes you. I got my degree in psychology and never would have imagined that I would end up in marketing, but I went with the opportunities and the mentors that were put in front of me, and I love it. So, it's one of those that I would just say be open to your path and let it take you where it needs to go.

02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The value I bring is empathy and compassion for both sides. You have clients that come to you for one thing, and you have to help your team understand it and get them together, and so I feel like the communication and empathy that I bring to both sides is really valuable. From a family perspective, it's showing my kiddos what a strong mom can do, and that there's multiple aspects of a mother that can work, and then also show her empathy to her clients, and then also empathy to her kids.
