About Kasey
Kasey SuperStar serves as CEO of Superstar Consulting, a role she has held while working in the special needs field for approximately 20 years. Initially a criminal justice major who aspired to become an undercover police officer, SuperStar shifted her career path after the birth of her autistic son, Elijah. She began working in a pediatric speech, occupational, and physical therapy clinic before transitioning to the self-determination program, where she represents individuals with special needs through the regional center system and collaborates with the state to develop programming that fosters life progress and independence. In addition, SuperStar joined the board of the Autism Society of San Diego around 2012 and became its president last August, guiding the organization through its 60th anniversary while advancing its mission to support people impacted by autism. She is currently building a third initiative, the Living Academy, which will focus on teaching activities of daily living, maintaining academic skills, conducting assessments, and training parents to promote greater independence for individuals with developmental disabilities, all driven by her personal experiences and desire to help families achieve long-term stability.
