About Kate
Kate Falcocchia is a seasoned real estate professional with more than two decades of experience serving buyers and sellers throughout Reno, Somersett, Sparks, Verdi, Truckee and the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. A Realtor with Ferrari-Lund Real Estate, she has developed particular expertise in Somersett, where she was part of the original development team for the master-planned golf community and has proudly called the area home for more than 20 years. Her local knowledge, market insight and experience with both new construction and resale properties have established her as a trusted resource for clients navigating Northern Nevada’s real estate market.
Throughout her career, Kate has built a diverse background encompassing buyer and seller representation, new home sales, luxury properties, relocation, REO and investor transactions, and property management. She also has experience in property valuation and appraisal operations, including comparative market analysis and quality oversight at Clear Capital. Her accomplishments include closing more than $5.5 million in sales in 2021, earning the Highest in Excellence Award, being recognized among Northern Nevada’s Top 25 Realtors in 2024, and being named among America’s Top 100 Real Estate Agents in 2025. She also holds the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) designation and is affiliated with professional real estate organizations.
Beyond her real estate career, Kate is deeply committed to her community. She serves as Vice President of the Somersett Homeowners Association and has maintained long-standing involvement with the Junior League of Northern Nevada, including leadership of its Child Watch Committee. She has also supported Courage Worldwide and contributed to efforts that brought its Reno house to the community. Guided by values of kindness, honesty, respect and integrity, which she connects to her Christian faith, Kate approaches every client relationship with a commitment to education, transparency and service. Her philosophy reflects her belief that real estate is about more than completing transactions—it is about helping people find homes they love, make informed decisions and build lasting wealth.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to treating people with honesty, kindness, and respect. I make it a priority to follow through on my commitments, avoid speaking negatively about others, and show up for people when I say I will. I believe these values have helped me build strong relationships and open many doors throughout my career.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is not to take things personally. Business can be stressful, but it’s important to stay focused on the outcome, remain professional, and do your best work even in high-pressure situations.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women entering the industry to find someone they admire and learn from their example. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel—emulate what works, then adapt it to your own personality and strengths. Stay authentic as you grow, and let your experience shape your own path.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve experienced in real estate is navigating a competitive industry as a woman. I believe consistency, honesty, trustworthiness, and staying focused on my own path have helped me build credibility and strong professional relationships. By maintaining these values and treating others with respect, I’ve been able to navigate challenges and continue moving forward.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My faith and Christian values guide both my personal life and professional decisions. I place a strong emphasis on truth and honesty, believing in being transparent while communicating with kindness and respect. These values have helped me build trust, maintain strong relationships, and stay grounded throughout my career.
