About Kate
Kate Melodia holds a Master's degree in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University, where she achieved a 3.8 GPA. After an 11-year career as a professional dancer and choreographer performing in productions including Mary Poppins and White Christmas and choreographing for regional theater in Pittsburgh, she has transitioned her focus to the nonprofit sector. Melodia is currently seeking opportunities in nonprofit management and fundraising, having advanced to the top 12 candidates out of over 800 applicants for a position at Lincoln Center. She maintains an active presence in professional networks such as Women in Development (WID) in New York and Columbia University events, and she completed an internship involving archival work at the Jose Limon Dance Foundation. In addition to her performing background across New York, Vermont, and Pennsylvania, she has held roles as a field representative for a political organization during the 2020 presidential election and currently works at The Grill, a top restaurant in Midtown Manhattan operated by Major Food Group.
