Kate Melton

I am an entrepreneur and finance professional passionate about innovation in sports and strategic financial planning. Currently, I serve as Founder & CEO of Sportsgenix Inc., a sports-technology startup exploring new ways to enhance the racquet sports experience for players, clubs, and communities. My role includes leading company strategy, early-stage product development, market research, brand positioning, and preparing for commercialization and investor engagement.

Before founding Sportsgenix, I worked in financial services as a Registered Financial Planning Practice Manager at The Resource Group of Rochester, supporting registered associates and managing client financial planning strategies. I also gained experience as a Paraplanner at Ameriprise Financial Services and as a Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual, providing personalized financial guidance and planning.

I combine entrepreneurial vision, financial expertise, and market insight to build innovative solutions that meet both business and community needs. I’m particularly interested in the intersection of sports, technology, and community engagement, and enjoy developing ideas that create lasting impact in these spaces.
