Kate Miller

Kate Latevola holds a master's degree from Valdosta State in educational leadership. Her professional journey began in higher education at UCF career services, where she focused on freshman, sophomores, and student athletes, organizing events and connecting students with opportunities. Passionate about bridging talent with organizations, she transitioned into recruiting at Total Quality Logistics, gaining foundational experience in a sales-oriented logistics role. She advanced at Park Place Technologies over four years, handling diverse recruiting needs across the business and rising to talent acquisition manager with global oversight of eight recruiters. At Verkada, she spent four years in recruiting and talent acquisition leadership before a stint as head of talent at Giga Energy, where she built the recruiting function. Prioritizing family after having her first child, she returned to Verkada in an individual contributor role to build the public sector team while maintaining strong work-life balance. She attributes her success to work ethic, curiosity, emotional intelligence, the ability to connect talent acquisition with business outcomes, empathy, and leadership, always giving 120 percent and learning quickly from setbacks.
