Kate Parrish, CHSP, is the Regional Director of Sales at Event Temple, overseeing the East Coast United States market in the hospitality and SaaS industries. With over 20 years of experience in hotel sales and management, Kate has built a career grounded in relationship-building, negotiation, and delivering customer-centric solutions. Her journey began in hotel operations as a front desk agent, and she quickly progressed through roles in banquets, wedding coordination, large-scale event planning, and even opening a hotel during the COVID-19 pandemic. These experiences shaped her leadership style, emphasizing teamwork, empathy, and a dedication to achieving excellence in both operations and sales.

After two decades in hospitality, Kate made a strategic transition into the SaaS sector, applying her deep expertise in hospitality to innovative technology solutions. At Event Temple, she leverages technology to help sales teams streamline operations, increase revenue, and enhance customer experiences across thousands of hotels and venues. Her leadership approach combines strategic insight with a people-first mentality, inspiring teams to reach their highest potential while fostering an environment of growth, positivity, and collaboration.

Outside of her professional life, Kate is deeply committed to family and community. Married for three years, she enjoys traveling with her husband and two children, currently planning a family cruise, and spending time with their dog. She also finds joy in simple daily moments, like walks and family activities, reflecting the same attention to care and presence that she brings to her work. Kate’s passion for hospitality, leadership, and meaningful connections continues to drive her professional success and personal fulfillment.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field right now is increasing product awareness. Effectively educating and engaging the market presents a chance to stand out and drive meaningful impact.

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are Hospitality, Empathy, Authenticity, Relationships, and Trust—spelling out HEART, which guides everything I do.
