Kate Rhodes Peterson

She is an education leader with experience in school administration, teacher residency development, instructional coaching, and school improvement strategy. She currently serves as Assistant Principal at Uplift Community High School within Chicago Public Schools, following her role as Assistant Principal at McCutcheon STEAM Elementary. Her background includes nearly 15 years with the Academy for Urban School Leadership, where she led and developed the Chicago Teacher Residency program, supported mentor and pre-service teachers, and strengthened instructional practice across high-need schools.
