Her Story

About Kate

I started my career in advertising and marketing in the digital space, working in online media for about 10-15 years. During that time, I worked at several companies including The Knot (a wedding website), Hearst Magazine, and Alloy, which had properties like Pretty Little Liars. I then made a shift to Shutterstock, a licensing platform for photography, digital images, and footage used in advertising and marketing campaigns, where I spent 5 years. After that, I moved to Vimeo, a video platform, where I was for about a year and a half. In 2014, I pivoted from ad tech and client services to technology and SaaS sales, which really launched my career in tech. I then joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) where I worked for just shy of 5 years, running the field operations team for North America and partnering with the head of sales for AWS North America. One of my most notable achievements there was pivoting AWS from a region or area-based model to an industry-first model, which was a really big undertaking involving an organization of 3,000+ sellers responsible for many billions of dollars in revenue. About a month ago, I joined NICE as Vice President of Revenue Operations. My main area of expertise is operational and revenue growth - I really focus on having operational mechanisms that create and sustain growth at scale. In my role, I establish and run the rhythm of the business, creating cadences to inspect the health of the business from pipeline, forecasting, and deep dives into different sales motions and plays. I drive operational rigor for the organization with the right inspection points along the way. I really like being the behind-the-scenes function - I love to organize and plan and be part of success, but I'm a bit of an introvert, so this role is perfect for somebody who loves to see the sunshine but doesn't need to be standing in it.
