About Kate
Kate Shinsky has built a career spanning 19 years in the event planning industry. She earned her bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising from Stevenson University in 2013 and also holds a master's degree in business from the university. Her early experience includes serving as a production assistant and later production manager at New York Fashion Week while attending college. She spent 11 years handling corporate events at Under Armour before transitioning to focus full time on her own business, Kate Nicole Events, which she launched five and a half years ago. Through her company she plans weddings and events on a daily basis, drawing on her passion for coordination and client experiences.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Identify your goals and dreams and run towards them without letting society's timelines or people telling you it's hard distract you. Dedication and focus will make it come true, as shown by pursuing New York Fashion Week despite being told it was harder than Ivy League.
